On May 12, 2018, Nelles Manor hosted 32 guests for an Afternoon Tea of sandwiches, scones, and desserts.
We set our tables in the Drawing Room, Dining Room, Kitchen, and Front Porch, allowing guests to have a chance to meet one another over a cup of tea and some goodies.
The afternoon included a Tour of Nelles Manor, and a look at the Vintage Clothing Exhibit that our volunteers worked hard to prepare. Dresses, hats, shoes, scarves, gloves, christening gowns, and military uniforms were stationed on mannequins throughout the home, showing guests what the Nelles family would have worn in the 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries.
