Join us for a Vintage Clothing Exhibition over the Victoria Day long weekend! We are showcasing articles from private lenders, as well as items from the collections of the Grimsby Museum. There will be dresses, hats, christening gowns, purses, gloves, an 1812 military uniform, etc…. We hope to give visitors a better idea of the way that the Nelles family would have dressed during different time periods, as well as show off some of the neat pieces of clothing that historically-minded people in Grimsby have been collecting over the years. Come for a tour and view the pieces, learn a little about the ways that Canadians dressed in the 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries. There will be a photo booth as well for those who would like to dress up and capture some memories.
There will also be some games on the front lawn, so bring the whole family! Try your hand at croquet, or see if you can master the stilts!
